Beth Bailey

16/18u Girls Blue Team Coach

Beth Bailey is the Program Head for the Vanguard Girls 16u/18u high school girls program.

Coach Bailey comes to Vanguard from Occidental College, where she served as Head Assistant Coach of the men’s and women’s water polo teams. While at Occidental, she helped the men’s team achieve the first winning season since 2008. Bailey has also coached club and high school water polo, coached athletes in USA Water Polo’s Olympic Development Program and has served as a National Team Selection Camp Coach.  As high school coach, she took a new program to league finals in its second year. As club coach, Bailey led teams to multiple USAWP Junior Olympic gold medal games and brought home gold at the 2021 and 2022
Junior Olympics with Sarasota United Water Polo Club.

Coach Bailey also currently serves as the Girls Water Polo Head Coach at Huntington Beach High School. Bailey graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and earned a Master’s in Business Administration from UCLA. Beth’s husband, Jeff, is a water polo referee and they have two daughters: MJ, a goalie and math major at UCLA, and Viv, a senior attacker for the team at Long Beach Wilson High School.
